Reports out of Italy seem indicate that a Federico Chiesa transfer to Juventus is gaining momentum. It’s hard to imagine Liverpool FC can afford to lose more players at the moment, but the Italian also isn’t getting many chances to play, so perhaps Liverpool will be compelled to let him go.
From La Gazetta dello Sport, Chiesa is reportedly willing to take a pay cut from his €6m salary to help facilitate a deal between Juventus and Liverpool. While Juve are pushing for a loan move, Liverpool remain adamant that it will be a permanent transfer.

If so, my read is that Liverpool don’t really want to sell Chiesa, but if both player and Juventus want to make it happen, they want to recoup the €15m spent in summer 2024 and then some. If so, there’s something deeply funny about Chiesa being forced out of Juventus, only to then be pursued heavily after just 18 months.
